Reverend Wright the Marxist Elitist.

The reverend is stoking the flames of hatred, telling people they are oppressed by America while living in a mansion and enjoying the riches of Capitalism.

This is typical of elites. They tell others to hate the very thing that has enriched them. The reverend and Michael Moore  are birds of a feather... elitists who hate America, but they have sucked up every bit of it's benefits,  while using their undeserved wealth to enslave those who don't know better.

In his recent speech, he rails against America, and lifts up Marx.

My question to this man is: will you give up your right to private property in America (which you claim is evil) for a shack in Africa?

I don't think he will.

I Rest My Case!

Well, today Rush made his first appearance (as far as I know) on Fox News Sunday, with Chris Wallace. It was the best interview he has ever done, IMO.

What I liked was he came across very well, answering every question in a thoughtful manner, as a serious political spokesperson.  I was glad to see it.

There was one question that Chris Wallace asked, and Rush's answer made the case I have been making here on TH... Chris asked: "who did you vote for?" Answer: "McCain".

I rest my case!

The Best Way To Advance Conservatism?

There has been quite a discussion on the blogs for a long time now, about how to best advance the cause of conservatism at this point in our history. My argument has been that advancing Conservatism would best be achieved when we have the majority in both Houses, and the White House, in order to have the ability to work within the system to advance our principles and weed out bad apples who aren't representing our values. This would enable us to have the ability to voice our opinion (and be heard) on issues that we felt were critical, such as occurred with the immigration bill that many opposed.

On the other side of the argument, some say it is better to throw all republicans out, give the democrats the majority, let them apply their principles which are in opposition to ours, and then (hopefully) we will find another Reagan-like leader to come to the rescue and reverse the dire circumstances created by liberal principles.

My argument has been that this is too dangerous, under current global circumstances, and btw, Thomas Sowell wrote a piece on this before the election echoing my sentiments. I think most would agree he is a CONSERVATIVE.

So this is my question. Based on the fact that the country is now being run by liberal principles, and we now have no power to be heard if we object to trillion dollar deficits,  government take over of a large part of the private sector, and the current attempt to take over healthcare, which approach seems to be the best for advancing Conservatism?

Right now does it look like maybe the latter was not the best game plan?

I Sympathize With Rush, But...

Rush has erroneously been accused of being a racist, and of course the drive by media is having a blast painting him (and thus all conservatives by default) as someone who shouldn't own, even partially, an NFL team.

Well, I know he isn't a racist, and everyone who knows him or  has followed his career knows he isn't. BUT... those who hear his parodies in passing have no clue what he thinks, and could get the wrong message.

I guess my point is... shouldn't conservatives have higher standards? To point out what the Left does and report it is one thing, but making a song out of a pathetic comment made by a  leftwing columnist in the LA Times, for example, is risking wrong interpretations. Conservatives should be above any possible backlash, IMO. Bad language and bad taste should not be a part of a conservative's M.O.

The lies which were stated by the msm, and others should be exposed and they should be held accountable for liable, and I hope they are. BUT, I think Rush does things that are in poor taste, that are not up to the standards we as conservatives should abide by.

IMO, Rush could improve his image by not being so edgy, and using better taste, and judgement.

CBS...Kick the Bum Out!

How pathetic...first David Letterman uses his show to throw up on everybody about his lack of morals and his "indiscretions", shall we say, with women on CBS... then he publicly embarrasses his wife, using his comedy act to apologize to her in front of the whole world for the fact that he is a jerk...

CBS, come on, tell the guy to take a hike!

Brazil Wins Olympics for Rio!

President Lula will host the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro!  It seems like a good idea, since Chicago is probably the most corrupt city in America...

Congratulations president Lula! Congratulations Brazil! Congratulations Rio!

A Refreshing Moment...

The Dallas Cowboys are playing in their new stadium tonight, and W and Laura Bush were there for the coin toss. It was great to see them, and it made me wish they were still in the White House...

W was obviously having fun, enjoying light hearted conversation with John Madden up in the guest suite a long way from the insanity going on in DC since he left.

What a refreshing break from the political pundits and endless appearances of the current White House occupant to sell his latest government take over...

Refreshing indeed... go Cowboys! Go W!

ACORN Stands For...

"Another Crooked Organization Ripping off the Nation"... and using oblivious tax payer's money to do it.

Where has the "main stream" media been? This is an outrage! Our hard earned tax dollars going by the millions into an abomination of a trashy outfit! This is insane!

Rich Lowry stated in his column today "E.F. Hutton of brothels", that "The ACORN staff comported itself in keeping with ACORN founder Wade Rathke's philosophy of "maximum eligible participation". "The idea is to sign up as many people as possible for government benefits. It has it's roots, Mathew Vadum of the Washington-based Capital Reasearch Center writes, in the 1960's New Left vision that "called upon activists to pack the welfare rolls to spread dependency, bankrupt the government and cause uprisings against the capitalist system".

Lowry continued... "If the revolutionary fires don't burn as bright anymore, ACORN still has radical aspirations and marginal commitment to the existing political and legal system".  No kidding!

It's time to defund this fraudulent organization!

Carville and Gergen...Classless on 360.

Oh my gosh, what a comedy act! Anderson Cooper tonight had on the lovely out -of- touch duo ( Carville/ Gergen) to rebut the guy that organized the DC demonstration and it was a total blowout comedy hour! Carville called the citizen demonstrators "classless".

If I recall, in every leftist demonstration there are cars burning, buildings being trashed, bricks being thrown into windows, city blocks left in shambles once they are disbanded or thrown in jail...and Carville and Gergen were offended by a few signs!!!!

Most people were families with hand made signs with harmless humor. Give me a break! Talk about a couple of out of touch elitists!

Even Anderson seemed a little embarrassed by their "attitude"...

More Choice?

I have a question for all the people who are on Medicare. Did it offer you more choice in coverage or less? As far as I know, everyone on medicare HAD to sign up at age 65. Is that more choice? And as far as I know medicare is already running out of money. You can't have your own insurance instead of medicare, because no one will cover you if you are medicare age.

So please educate me. How is a government healthcare plan going to offer more "choice"? How is it going to be cheaper, since medicare is going broke and taxes will have to be increased to pay not only for medicare, but for another government plan, and medicare will have to give up 500 K currently in the system?

Since many doctors have opted not to take medicare patients, how does that help people get better healthcare coverage? For those who would like to opt out of medicare and go for private insurance, the answer is, they can't, because no insurance will cover them at age 65.

So how is a "new" government option going to offer more "choice"? Where will all the doctors and nurses come from who will need to be added to the system to take care  of the millions that will be added to the system?

Please educate me on this, since I obviously don't get it.

A Suggestion for GOP Candidate in 2012.

Seems Senator Hutchinson is going after Gov. Perry of Texas to unseat him in the next gubernatorial race in the Lone Star State. Wonder if Gov. Perry is considering a possible run for President in 2012?

I've heard from Conservatives who love the idea of a Huckabee/Steele ticket, and others who wouldn't go for that ticket at all. Then there was the discussion of Jim DeMint/ Ken Blackwell, or Blackwell/DeMint...

I wonder what the thoughts might be about a Gov. Perry candidacy for 2012?

Who's Your Candidate for 2012?

Since Republicans historically can't seem to agree on a candidate for president and frequently wind up shooting themselves in the foot by giving elections to socialists to prove they are conservatives with a capital C,  I was just curious who might be the "ultimate conservative" choice who could actually beat the current dem candidate next election?

It is a rather critical decision, based on our current state of affairs, but from what I hear, it appears there are some conservatives who are still not sure they will vote Republican unless they have a perfect 100% (in their mind) conservative. So no matter what state the country is in come 2012, we may have some fence sitters willing to do us in again.

So, who's your choice?

Helping the Wrong Side.

I am mystified by people who claim to be conservatives who have willingly thrown our nation to the wolves, hoping that in so doing, things will get so bad that we can regain the majority and the White House with all conservatives, and live happily ever after in the new America. In their dreams they envision a miraculous turn around from all of the socialist programs implemented by the leftist majority. It would be nice if things were that simple.

The problem I have with this mentality is that this reckless action is now reeking havoc on our nation. I am troubled with the glib attitude of those who think it's funny to play with America's national security and gamble on her future.

In a perfect world everyone would agree on every issue, and we would have lollipops and roses. In the real world we have to realize we won't ever have conservatives/republicans who agree on everything, and that is why having a super majority is so important. With a super majority our odds of advancing our agenda is greater. Now we have a powerless minority, and a leftist majority charging toward statism.

For those still dreaming, I'm afraid the world will be a different place when you finally wake up.

Glad to Delete the Trash

I found it necessary to delete my last post because I don't want trashy comments on my blog. My apologies to those who frequent "one eighty" with your thoughts... I always enjoy hearing from you. I'm sure as I do, you want to see a reasonable debate, not gutter language and infantile name calling.

My apologies.

The Senate...Comedy Central?

Golly, who would have thought we'd come this far? A comedian will soon be sworn into the Senate! Al Franken former Saturday Night Live comic will now take the oath of office as Senator and sit in the halls of power. Norm Coleman, the Republican has conceded, eight months after challenging the Minnesota election results.

So now the dems have a super majority to ram through their leftwing radical agenda, and a comedian rounded off the grand number to give them the power they have been craving for years. How appropriate, a comedian is the dem's savior... though this is definitely not a laughing matter.

The stage is set, the curtain has risen...now we will see the left perform before a global audience...I think I know who will be applauding as this comedy act unfolds.

America, prepare for a very bad show.
