It's The Economy Stupid!

What ever happened to the left's line that the media hyped during the Slick Willie/Bush campaign? I guess if you have a democrat in the White House no one in the media cares about jobs and the economy.

What do these people take us for? A bunch of suckers? Here we are in the midst of a 10%+ unemployment rate in the US, and the House and Senate are H**l bent on passing a government healthcare takeover, a cap and "trade", and a "climate change" bill, all of which will make the jobless rate continue to escalate!

Here's a message for the "public servants" in DC who are messing with our lives: It's not your money! We are not a bunch of lame brains who will sit back and let you hijack our country!

Hey Pelosi and Reid, and all you democrat lefties living high on the hog on my dime: when you sign up for the "healthcare" you have concocted behind closed doors, when you give up your private jets, and SUV's, and when you cut off your heat for the winter, and turn off your lights to save the polar bears, I might listen.

Then again, knowing that won't happen, read my lips: It's the economy stupid!

The Good the Bad and the Ugly.

Today we see a beautiful family who can be an example of love, responsibility and possibility, ready to move into the White House. The Good I see is that this can be a change in the democrat party from their pattern of using "victimhood" to advance their agenda, to promoting personal responsibility, character, and contribution, in a positive way. This could be a change in the democrat party. A change from "victimization" to "responsibility" and "possibility".
 
The bad as I see it, are the loud voices on the right who criticized the left for not being civil on Bush's inaugural, who will not be civil this inaugural. Can we take a break for now from the ranting? Unfortunately the picture of conservatism has become a loud mouth screaming , using the very tactics of the left that we've always deplored. I believe we can argue our disagreements without being insulting. We should not lower ourselves to that level.
 
The ugly, is the far left with their radical agenda for America who will try to ram their ideology through and force it on the rest of us. Let us continue to work against their radical agenda, continue to defend the truth, being involved and active, without lowering ourselves to their level of discourse, and encourage this administration to move right instead of left..
 
We will have time to debate the issues, policies,etc, as the days pass, and we will all see what this administration will do.

Who Will the Media Beat Up On Now?

Now that president Bush has said his goodbyes, who will the propagandists in the media beat up on for fun (besides Palin, that is...)? The proapagandists have discovered a new power that they thought was over when talk radio first hit the airwaves.
 
Unfortunately,  the grand poopa of radio, Rush, and some conservative pundits and authors (Ann Coulter/ Laura Ingraham) have gone so far over the top with their rhetoric that they have lost credibility. They hate the left and the hate anyone on the right who isn't right enough for them, so from behind their microphones and on TV shows they make themselves and the rest of us look quite silly, and verbose. Why should we use the left's tactics? Look where it has gotten us. Hope they are happy, because it will be a long time before, or if, we ever have a majority again, not to mention the White House.
 
I'm Irritated.

The Politics of Personal Destruction... Alive and Well on the Left.

The left  is having a cow over McCain's brilliant choice of Sarah Palin for his running mate. They didn't have a woman who cut the mustard for Obama, and his choice was, well, underwhelming. Biden is basically a crooked leftist, who gets favors, plagiarizes other people's material, but no big deal.
 
Then again, you have a conservative woman who is a success, strong  and personable, who could actually wind up in the White House down the road! What can the left do about that? Not much, so they go after her family. Wow.
 
My prediction is this is going to backfire bigtime. The politics of personal destruction is alive and well on the left, with their surrogates in the media doing the dem's work for them.
 
Did the dems say they want to "end the politics of personal destruction"? Or... did I imagine that?

Let's See, Obama is Patriotic.

Obama should say "read my lips, I'm patriotic".
 
" I went to a church where my pastor preached pro-African/ anti-American messages and praised Farakan...I was only there twenty years, thus didn't notice he didn't like the country"!
 
"I'm patriotic,  I hung out with a guy who bombed the Pentagon and is a Marxist, but I wasn't aware of his extremist views". "I'm patriotic, I went to Berlin to proclaim I'm a citizen of the world ".
 
The left is always complaining when someone questions their patriotism. Could it be what they say and do, per chance?
