I am constantly amazed at how the dem pols manage to slither through life unscathed, regardless of how they conduct themselves in office. Republicans on the other hand get raked over the coals for behavior unbecoming, and usually wind up leaving office, or voted out, only to watch the lefties who actually break the law, get re-elected, and never held to account. They wind up in positions of prestige, on powerful committees, looking down their noses at the rest of us.
Remember Barney Frank of prostitution ring fame? How about Barbara Boxer of check- kiting fame? Think any Republicans accused of such tawdry behavior would still be in power, and on powerful commitees?
The dems are in the process of investigating anything that breathes or moves in the Bush administration, and are hot to trot to get Gonzales.
It occurred to me, that they are keeping him pretty busy answering questions before investigative committees, while Reid, Pelosi, Jefferson, Di Fi, and other dem pols avoid scrutiny for their potential conflicts of interest , because poor ol' Gonzales has no time to investigate them!
Seems like a pretty good strategery to me!
