As I look to the future wondering what is ahead for America, it strikes me that besides the War against Islamo Fascism, we are facing a war against ignorance.
We are living in a time when information and knowledge is at every American's finger tips, with news and information available 24/7. Whatever anyone desires to know, they can learn at the click of a computer mouse, or the "on" switch of a radio or TV, or in the books of a library, or the local bookstore.
Even with this unlimited access to knowledge, and the ability for those who want to to find the truth about anything, more available than in any time in human history, we have the fakers, and the propagandists, liars and political power mongers apparently winning the war against truth, in some quarters.
While knowledge is expanding across the globe, over 60% of people who call themselves democrats in the most advanced country on the planet, evidently are having problems knowing for sure what the truth is about Bush and 9-11. 35% of democrats believe that Bush knew about 9-11 before it happened, and 26% aren't sure. This is 61% of democrats, who in a country where information is available to anyone who wants to find the truth, have been totally brainwashed into believing a lie.
And this is what brings me to believing "we have nothing to fear but ignorance itself". It appears the democrats will believe anything they want to believe if they just want to believe it badly enough, and someone is willing to make a "documentary" to prove a lie to be the truth, or they repeat the lie often enough.
Michael Moore produces a cheap flick, and democrats believe Bush is Hitler incarnate. Al Gore produces a movie he calls a documentary, and democrats believe global warming is the greatest threat facing America.
Pelosi and Reid, with the help of propagandists in the media say Bush lied people died, and there were no WMD, and the democrats believe it, regardless of the evidence right in front of their noses, which their own leaders claimed as fact that proves the opposite, but it doesn't matter.
Castro, a murdering dictator who has kept his people in the prison of Cuba, and who has snuffed out innocent lives for years just because they want to live free, is a hero to democrats, even though the island nation is in shambles, and people risk their very lives to get out.
Slavery was abolished in America by those on the Right who declared it evil, and thousands shed their blood to free slaves in this country, but democrats have an ex- KKK member in the leadership of their party, but democrats believe the racists are on the right.
I could go on and write endlessly about the brainwashed mind numbed left, but alas reality is perception, and the perception of the democrats is that lies are truth and truth is what they want to believe.
It seems we have an enemy which is in many ways more dangerous than those we face on the battle field. It is the closed minds of those on the left, who believe the lies they tell themselves, and each other. These are the people who could be at the helm of power in America...complete power.
In this age of the most massive increase in knowledge ever witnessed in human history, will ignorance be our downfall? Will we fail to fear the true enemy, ignorance, and will the democrats be victorious and become the last arbitors of truth?
