It seems we are living in an age where "reason" no longer matters, and the voices of reason are looked upon as "extreme" among the elites on the Left, in the world of politics and debate.
Defending our country from attack for instance, is "imperialism". Wanting tax cuts for everyone, is unfairly "aiding the rich". Expecting people to take responsibility for themselves, is being unfair, and "insensitive". Wanting government to allow individuals to be charitable, rather than instituting bureaucratic welfare, is "not caring for the poor".
Matters of morality, human dignity and decency have descended to the lowest depths of perversion, and yet to oppose the popular consensus is to be a prude or worse, a censor, or infringing on the "rights of free speech".
Where faith and religious beliefs are concerned, "all" beliefs are acceptable, other than Judaism or Christianity, and these deserve disdain, impugning, and ridicule.
Patriotism has become a bad thing. To be proud of America and our troops, is to be "superior", "condescending", and "unfair" in the new globalist world.
It seems what's wrong is right, and what's right is wrong, and absolutes are absolutely not. Did I miss anything?
